The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles announced that it is reopening its regional service centers (RSCs) starting this week, some of which include Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.
In response to COVID-19, the RSCs are reopening with new office health and safety procedures. In addition to the customary social distancing practices, in-person services are available by same-day or next-day appointment only (appointments will be scheduled in 15-minute increments, with the first appointment at 8 am and the last at 4:30 pm).
In-person services include:
• Replacement titles
• Bonded title notices of determination
• Title histories
• Temporary permits
• Assigned/reassigned numbers
• Registration refund authorizations
• Investigation and resolution of Texas title errors
