TxDMV Names New Director of Enforcement Division

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has named Corrie Thompson the Director of the agency's Enforcement Division. Thompson previously served as the Managing Attorney for the Enforcement Division where her role included providing counsel and supervision to attorneys who handle administrative prosecution of motor vehicle, motor carrier, oversize/overweight and salvage vehicle dealer cases.

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve the citizens and industries of the state as the Director of the Enforcement Division,” Thompson told TIADA.

“We look forward to working with Corrie and her team as she takes on this new role,” TIADA Executive Director Jeff Martin said. “I have known Corrie for a couple of years and she has always been very fair and professional. She will be good for TxDMV and our industry.”

Prior to joining TxDMV in 2013, Thompson prosecuted cases involving Medicaid provider fraud, waste and abuse for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of Inspector General.
