Mark Jones Appointed to TxDMV Board

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Mark Jones, CEO of Mike Carlson Motor Company, to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) Board. His term will run through February 1, 2029. TxDMV oversees vehicle registration, dealer regulation, and efforts to combat vehicle burglaries and thefts.
Jones, a longtime leader in the independent automobile industry, is well-known within the Texas Independent Automobile Dealers Association (TIADA) community, where he served as president in 2022. His extensive experience includes serving as president of the Fort Worth Independent Automobile Dealers Association and trustee for the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Foundation.
Jones is strongly committed to his industry and his community. He volunteers with organizations such as Harmony Baptist Church, Relay for Life, and the Rotary Club of Arlington. He earned a degree in Broadcast Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington.
With his appointment, Jones brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership to the TxDMV Board, continuing his dedication to supporting Texas vehicle owners.
